WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO COME FOR 3D/4D??

Great detail is seen at every stage with our advanced technology, however weeks 27-32 are ideal if you want really good facial detail. Baby's face and features are filled out with nice, full cheeks! Twins will be best to scan around 26-28 weeks. (We do not charge extra for multiples).

CAN I SCHEDULE A 3D/4D BEFORE THE RECOMMENDED WEEKS?

Yes! Although facial details are captured best between 28-32 weeks, you are more than welcome to come in anytime between 12-39 weeks. See our Gift of Motherhood package if this interests you.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR GENDER DETERMINATION WITH ULTRASOUND?

16 weeks or later is best for gender determination. Always keep in mind baby’s position can keep us from seeing gender adequately. If this happens, we will provide a complimentary rescan!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME FOR THE SNEAKPEEK CLINICAL GENDER DETECTION DNA BLOOD TEST?

The SneakPeek Clinical DNA test is available at or after 6 weeks of pregnancy.

WHAT DOES THE SNEAKPEEK CLINICAL DNA TEST INVOLVE?

I use the Sneak Peek Clinical snap devices for blood draws. These are fast, and you can barely feel anything. These appointments will take about 15 minutes. Your blood sample will be sent via Fed Ex to the lab, and you will receive your in 1 day (if fast track option is chosen) and in 2 days (if standard option is chosen). Results will come to you via email from SneakPeek. You do have the option to have your results sent to someone else if desired.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR 3D/4D?

HYDRATE! Image quality and clarity significantly increases the more fluid there is around baby. Start to drink 64-96oz of water daily 1 week before your scheduled appointment. About 15-20 minutes before your appointment drink a small juice, coffee, or soda to get baby moving!

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2D, 3D, 4D & HD Live?

Most people are familiar with 2D ultrasound images which are the traditional black and white images. They show the skeletal outline of the baby and are optimal for diagnostic measurements of baby. 3D imaging allows us to see the tissues of baby- nice round cheeks, shapes of the nose and lips etc. 4D is seeing baby in 3D but in real time! So we can see baby moving around while seeing more detail. HD Live is an advanced display that delivers more lifelike 3D images by using a virtual light source that is movable to anywhere in the 3D volume.  It allows me to move the lights and shadows to better enhance baby’s features!  

DO YOU HAVE A RESCAN POLICY?

Yes! If baby is in a difficult and imaging is not satisfactory, we can schedule you to come back for a complimentary rescan.

CAN I BRING GUESTS?

Absolutely! There is a large viewing screen and seating in the studio for any family/friends that want to join you. I would say the studio comfortably fits 8-10 guests.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Unfortunately, Sentiments does not accept insurance as payment for elective ultrasound exams. For diagnostic ultrasounds, you will be required to pay up front, but I will be provided a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS/VIDEOS?

Your photos will be sent digitally to your phone within 24 hours of your appointment. I-phone users can expect their photos sent via text! Android users will receive their images via email. A few paper copies will be given to you before you leave. Heartbeat animals, gender reveal party items, & other merchandise may also be purchased at your appointment and taken home the same day. 3D prints will take a few business days before they are ready to go home with you. They can be picked up at the studio.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes please. Schedule Here! You are always welcome to call for same day appointments, or if you are not seeing available appointment times that accommodate your schedule. Also, please give at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduled appointments.

WHO CAN HAVE THEIR DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND AT SENTIMENTS?

Anyone! Sentiments offers all general ultrasound services; Male, female, child, teen, adult etc. We welcome all patients and are so excited to get to be a part of your healthcare team.

WHAT ARE DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUNDS?

Diagnostic ultrasounds are medical ultrasounds used to help your physician diagnose your health condition. They are performed by a licensed Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist). The ultrasound is performed at Sentiments, and then sent to a Radiologist for interpretation. The Radiologist will dictate a formal report that will then be sent back to your physician.

DOES SENTIMENTS ACCEPT INSURANCE AS PAYMENT FOR DIAGNOSTIC UTLRASOUNDS?

No. All diagnostic ultrasounds are a self pay service. We provide competitive prices for you to feel good about paying out of pocket for these services, and we provide the best quality and experience. you will also receive a superbill from me after your appointment that can be sent to your insurance for reimbursement.

DO I NEED AN ORDER FROM MY PHYSICIAN TO HAVE MY ULTRASOUND DONE AT SENTIMENTS?

Yes. Please have your ordering physician/provider fax an order to Sentiments fax number (208)-417-0882. You can also bring a physical copy of your insurance with you to your appointment.
